An offer is followed by new family questions
Who meets the child? Who helps on the first evening? If school reports missing work, does the accommodation contact know? Which next step should a parent abroad take?
LEP considers these questions alongside admission. Based in Luxembourg, we bring the school and living arrangements into the same family discussion.
Connect the arrival arrangements
Age, arrival time and whether a parent travels affect preparation. LEP helps organise school and accommodation contacts, required documents and the questions around transfer and moving in.
For Luxembourg day-school and host-family routes, the school start, accommodation availability and travel plans must align. Our St George’s placement account shows how school communication and local arrangements were connected for one family.
Make early updates useful
We discuss the feedback a family needs and relate it to school and accommodation communication. Learning updates concern attendance, work and participation; residential observations concern routines, meals and daily life. The student’s own explanation matters too.
An update should allow action. Repeated missing work calls for identifying the task and whether the difficulty concerns language, understanding or time. Within agreed Luxembourg coordination, LEP helps connect those observations.
Work across a problem’s different settings
A school may report insufficient preparation while a host sees the child sitting at a computer all evening. Those observations may point to misunderstanding or organisation rather than contradictory accounts.
Bring the assignment requirements, household observations and the student’s explanation together; identify who handles the next step and when progress will be reviewed. This continuity is a central reason to seek local support.
Prepare boarding-school communication
For Eerde, Chantemerle or Saint-Charles, LEP’s application and arrival preparation includes clarifying academic, residential and parent contacts, alongside relevant routines. Phone, weekend, holiday and study questions can be discussed before departure.
The work is defined for the chosen route: local school-and-household coordination in Luxembourg, and school-facing application and entry preparation for campus boarding.
Tell LEP the intended start, whether parents will travel and the matters you most want followed up. We can explain how the first-term preparation fits the service. Luxembourg school and local support.
