If English or study foundations need preparation

IMI’s Certificate in International Hotel & Tourism Management is a 22-week foundation route including academic English, study skills and hospitality basics. We compare preparing at home with an additional school stage against the student’s needs, timing and full budget.

Choose the work, not just a broad course name

Hospitality operations and understanding guests suggest IMI hospitality or SHMS. Organising activities points towards events; an interest in spaces and consumer experience can lead to design management. Finance, marketing and business invite comparison of IMI business and HIM. Sustained professional-kitchen training leads to CAA or IMI culinary routes.

I am James Liu. I see these courses as an active choice for strengths in organisation, empathy, judgement, aesthetics and doing a task well. I ask whether the student is willing to learn basic work, maintain standards under pressure and collaborate. School marks are one part of that judgement.

Compare the full course, including the covered campus periods

These figures precede awarded scholarships or discounts. Durations, scheduled food and accommodation, and internship periods differ. Flights, insurance and uncovered living periods are added to the payment plan. The IMI example is neither tuition alone nor every living expense over three years.

Applicable partner-channel benefits can be discussed. Internship earnings should be considered after tax and living costs, separately from cash needed for tuition today.

Connect the course to the next market

A student with practical, organisational or interpersonal strengths deserves a serious discussion. A family business in hospitality, food, retail or services can also supply real questions for course projects. For further study we examine the degree and prerequisites; for employment we begin with suitable practice and professional references.
