Match the selected course with its award
| Programme | Degree or award structure | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| IMI BA (Hons) / MSc | Manchester Metropolitan University validation | Match the final programme to further study |
| SHMS bachelor | University of Derby BA (Hons), with relevant Swiss professional qualification | Distinguish diploma stages from bachelor completion |
| HIM BBA | Northwood University Bachelor of Business Administration | Assess the specific business direction |
| CRCS BSc | César Ritz Colleges Switzerland BSc | Recognised Swiss UAS institute and specific course |
| CAA bachelor | CAA award structure and University of Derby BA (Hons) Culinary Arts | Distinguish bachelor from shorter culinary diplomas |
CRCS is listed in swissuniversities’ HEdA recognised-institution directory as a University of Applied Sciences Institute. The institution’s status and the certificate from the individual course should be understood together.
Degree level changes the next step
BA, BSc and BBA are bachelor’s degree titles with different content. MSc is a master’s. A Diploma requires its full title and position in the relevant education system: the word alone does not identify the level.
IMI’s Graduate Diploma is a professional diploma; its MSc is a master’s. At SHMS the professional stage and bachelor completion affect time and budget. CAA’s short culinary diplomas differ from its full bachelor.
Teaching country and university name need to be read together
I am James Liu. My priority is to understand the route: where the student studies, what they learn, who validates or awards it, and which qualification they receive. A familiar foreign university name is one part of that structure.
Families need the course and intended use to make sense together. For further study, subject preparation and degree level are essential; for practical skills, the actual training matters.
Plan further study before choosing the bachelor
Identify the desired master’s and prerequisites, then examine undergraduate subjects, grades and research preparation. Hospitality business, general business and culinary management share some content but not every prerequisite. A later move into finance or data deserves early subject planning.
Using the qualification in China or Europe
Where Chinese credential evaluation is required, prepare against the Ministry of Education’s Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange requirements, the particular awarding institution and actual study history. A UK or US partner degree also needs to be considered in the context of the Swiss teaching programme.
For European work, country, role, language, employer needs and the practical permit route enter the plan together. Relevant internships and professional relationships help turn study into experience.
Bring the decision to LEP
My European business work and school and employer relationships inform this comparison. Explain prior education, English, budget, intake and whether the next aim is work, study or a family business. LEP connects qualification, timing, fees and suitable partner applications.
