Compare the same level and location

The starting comparison is Glion’s Swiss Bachelor in International Hospitality Business and Les Roches’ Swiss Bachelor in Global Hospitality Management. Both belong to Sommet Education. A master, transfer-entry offer or Spanish campus has a different budget.

The listed difference is around CHF 5,800, modest relative to the whole investment. Scholarships, credit recognition, room choice and the final stage can change it. Start with the complete cost model including internship savings.

What does “more practical” mean for this student?

A student we met at Glion described choosing its practical, frontline approach after comparing other schools. That is useful lived feedback. Les Roches also begins with practical training, restaurant operations and service tasks. Neither school can sensibly be reduced to only theory or only practice.

InterestSwiss bachelor content to examine
Luxury and customer experienceGlion lists Luxury Brand Strategy; its separate Luxury Business bachelor needs a separate comparison.
Assets and financeGlion: Asset Development & Finance. Les Roches: Hotel Financial Performance Management.
EventsGlion: Guest Experience in Event Management.
Entrepreneurship and marketingLes Roches: Innovation and Venture Creation; Digital Marketing Strategies.
Luxury hotel operationsLes Roches: Luxury Hospitality Management, alongside the hotel-business foundations at both schools.

LEP connects a preferred role to courses, projects and internships. An interest in luxury might mean brand marketing, sales, customer relationships or hotel operations; those are different plans.

Les Roches made the strongest overall impression on me

Of the Swiss hospitality schools on this trip, Les Roches gave me the best overall visit experience. Preparation, student reception and the schedule were thorough. Over roughly three and a half hours we explored residences, teaching and activity spaces. The food, range of dishes and desserts stood out.

Crans-Montana is a mountain resort; the scenery and sports spaces will appeal to students who value outdoor life. We met bachelor and postgraduate students and discussed internships, employment and entrepreneurship with the careers team.

Glion also arranged a professional visit, with academic and internship staff and both Swiss campuses. The mountain setting, restaurant, accommodation and activity spaces impressed us; Bulle offers a different town environment. It is another town, not simply the lower floor of one hillside campus. I use these observations alongside the curriculum and assessment arrangements.

Where are the other campuses?

Les RochesCrans-Montana, Switzerland; Marbella, Spain; Abu Dhabi, UAEAvailable programmes, specialisations, intake and local fees.

Les Roches also lists its partner Indian School of Hospitality in Gurugram; distinguish a partner institution from a direct campus. A family interested in Spain should examine Les Roches Marbella, not a Glion Spanish campus. Swiss fees and Swiss internship wages should not be carried over to another country.

Transfers can be possible

Glion’s 2027 terms provide for permanent transfers to other Glion or Les Roches campuses subject to the receiving institution’s normal admission requirements and capacity. The final-year institution matters for the degree awarded. An exchange and a permanent transfer are different arrangements.

LEP can check curriculum progress, eligible semester, grades, fees and scholarship continuity. The shared group offers possibilities, but the initial campus and course still deserve careful selection.

Discuss a plan with LEP

LEP provides school-fit assessment, school liaison, application assistance and family campus-visit bookings. Schools pay for this application support; students and parents pay no LEP service fee for it.

Tell us the student’s age, current curriculum and results, languages, intended start date, budget and the two questions that matter most to your family.
