Age 14 and above is our main application focus
For students moving to the Netherlands without their parents, LEP focuses on secondary applications from age 14. The decision involves more than age: the school needs to consider what the student has studied and which stage they can realistically enter.
A student still in lower secondary, one completing that stage and one already following an international curriculum may need different arrangements.
Consider academics, English and daily independence together
Academically, we look at current subjects, strengths and the direction the student may wish to pursue later.
For language, students already able to study in English can explore direct entry to an appropriate stage. Those needing more preparation can discuss Eerde’s transition options. The school assesses the individual applicant.
For boarding, willingness to live away from home and the ability to express needs are important. A family is choosing a daily living environment as well as a course.
You do not need to research every procedure before contacting us
Tell LEP the student’s age, current year, recent results, English level, intended starting date and your budget. These details provide a useful starting point.
We can then help assess the direction, discuss the course and boarding arrangements with Eerde, and explain the next preparations. Families provide their own records and take part in the assessments or meetings requested by the school.
Application support that connects the stages
LEP has visited Eerde and works directly with the school. Our role is to help organise the background information, coordinate school communication, follow up on the application and clarify course, boarding and arrival arrangements.
Where a visa or residence procedure applies, we support the preparation of documents and coordinate with the school on the steps it handles. The school makes its admissions decision, and the relevant authority handles immigration decisions.
Allow sufficient time for the application. Once you have an approximate starting date in mind, you can begin the conversation with LEP rather than wait until every detail is settled.
LEP organises school visits in the Netherlands each quarter. We can help families bring the right questions about lessons, boarding and daily routines to a visit, while also discussing possible later study in Europe.
Why work with LEP on this application?
From initial assessment and document preparation to school communication, boarding arrangements and visa application support, LEP provides a Europe-based point of contact. We have visited Eerde and work in the same time zone as the school.
Until 15 September 2027, LEP charges no additional service fee for assistance with an Eerde application. This includes application assessment, school liaison, document preparation and visa application support. School tuition, boarding and government or other third-party charges remain payable.
